Latin Jazz a Success…get ready for Mark Wood

By Steve Briody briodywebphoto.jpg

Thanks to all in the enthusiastic and near-capacity crowd for helping to make “Tribute to Latin Jazz” an enormously successful night. I’m still a bit stunned by how quickly Bryan Carrott can navigate his way around the vibraphone.

There’s a show coming up this Sunday evening that I urge you not to miss. MARK WOOD is a world-renowned virtuoso electric violinist who has played with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Celine Dion, Billy Joel, and Roger Daltrey. He also recently filmed a special concert for public television.

For more info, be sure to visit his website:

Yet another world-class musical talent appearing at the DHPAC at Five Towns College. The show is Sunday evening, November 1st at 7pm. Hope to see you there.

Best,

Steve

Don’t Miss “Tribute to Latin Jazz”

by Steve Briody

I’m pleased to let everyone know about an upcoming show at DHPAC which will feature some of the world’s finest musicians. The “Tribute to Latin Jazz” is scheduled for Friday evening, October 16th.

Performing will be the Steve Kroon Sextet, featuring renowned percussionist Kroon, Grammy-nominated vocalist Carla Cook, and vibraphonist Bryan Carrott. I’ve had the honor of playing alongside Mr. Carrott on a few occasions, and can tell you first-hand that he’s one of the most exciting and accomplished musicians on the scene today—a truly special talent, and I’m certain you will share that same sentiment.

Concerts of this quality don’t take place often enough in the Long Island area. Please take advantage of this opportunity….I hope to see you there. Regards, SB
